150 Party!

“For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.”

worship celebration

Our worship celebration will be on Sunday, October 26 at 10:00. The special guest preacher will be Rev. Mark Young. A retired yet still active United Methodist Elder, Rev. Young is a former pastor of Russell Memorial, having served the congregation between (year and year). Rev. Young left an indelible mark on the congregation, effectively discipling many families during his years with us. We are filled with gratitude that Mark will be sharing with us in our celebration.

Worship will be followed by a fellowship dinner in George Hall. The main course for the meal will be provided by a local food vendor, with sides and desserts brought by members of the church. You will certainly want to stay and dine with us, as we just might hear a memory shared by a few of our longest remaining members.

If you anticipate being present for worship and the dinner, please use the link below to send us a quick message.

Anniversary party

Saturday, October 25 will be our anniversary party. The event will be ongoing from 10:00 in the morning until 5:00 that evening. We will gather at the Deen Building for a day of fun, food and memories. Snacks, hot dogs and drinks will be available throughout the day. There will be games for all ages, with bounce houses for the younger ones and dominoes for the young-at-heart.

The day will include a “churn off” competition with our best homemade ice cream creations for your cooling pleasure. The contest will be judged by prominent community members. Judging will take place at 1:00 (tentative) with servings available afterward.

The party will include Christian celebratory music provided by friends of the congregation. There will be plenty of pictures and stories on display to inspire memories from generations of ministry.
